The Center for Family Resources is a non-profit organization that serves families in need by offering a hand-up as opposed to a handout.

One design objective was to integrate the client’s programmatic needs within an existing big box retail space. This facility employs LEED designed principles including redevelopment of an abandoned retail shopping center, daylighting strategies, and reduces site disturbance.

The Center for Family Resources owns the 60,000 square foot facility and occupies part of the building; the remainder is sublet to other non-profits including Sheltering Arms, creating a synergistic community that will serve as a gateway on Roswell Street and a corridor for the larger development of the City of Marietta.
