Clark Atlanta University Master Plan

Project Location: Augusta, Georgia

Completion Date: 2004, 2010 – Update

Located in the heart of Summerville, Georgia, the growth of the University’s Main Campus was limited by the capacity of the surrounding network and character of neighborhoods. Since the University also owned property just a five minute drive from the Main Campus, the planning process included an evaluation of options to grow using the Main Campus, the Wrightsboro Road Campus and any related real estate opportunities readily available at that time

The proposed solution outlined the optimal use of the Main Campus. It built on the many projects that were underway, such as new buildings, parking on the perimeter and the traffic loop around campus. It proposed a secondary limited access road that reinforced the old visual axis from Payne Hall to the Katherine Street entrance.
