City of Hapeville LCI

Project Location: Hapeville, Georgia

Completion Date: 2017

Building from the 2005 Hapeville Main Street Town Center LCI Study, this study, the City of Hapeville Comprehensive Plan/ LCI Study Update, focused on guiding future growth within the LCI Study area by creating a vibrant, walkable, mixed use community, that helps the City reach its greatest potential.

This plan identified five major districts within the City and created development regulations to support future growth in line with the community needs and market forces. The plan also focused on supporting the growing arts community in Hapeville by extending the downtown art alley, incorporating pocket parks and plazas and recommending programming possibilities.

A gateway roundabout was recommended to improve traffic flow, wayfinding, and incorporate art. Subsequent to this study, Sizemore Group, in partnership with Stantec, completed a Roundabout Feasibility Study, which culminated in a tactical demonstration project of the preferred roundabout configuration.
