Catholic Church of St. Ann Master Plan and Design

Sizemore Group was proud to lead the complete design and construction services for the renovation and expansion of Catholic Church of St. Ann. The idea that inspired the project was to increase the social narthex space to help build the community gatherings and church ministries.

Sizemore Group provided custom design services for the liturgical elements, including the stone baptistery, altar and ambo to give a sense of sacred permanence to the nave. Other considerations were to lighten up the dark nave with added clerestory light and repainting. Acoustics and audio visual improvements as well as modern curved pews to reflect a design sense of community that St. Ann’s is so well known for.

We analyzed the church’s existing facilities and provided preliminary design services, including a new master plan, nave renovations, new narthex and youth center additions.

Sizemore Group provided a detailed report that summarized the findings and recommendations of collaborative efforts of technical assessment and the parish consensus. The technical assessment involved architects and engineers interviewing key operations personnel for recommendations on future needs. The collaborative efforts of the parish involved assemblies, surveys, questionnaires and various interviews of the ministry leadership including the Pastor and liturgical consultant.

Once funding capacity for the next five to ten years is determined, Sizemore Group will work with the church’s leadership to review the priorities set forth by the parish community.
